The Jeremiah Journey!
This 3-year undertaking is an exploration where we, as a a congregation, listen for what God would have us do. It is a journey of discovery and discernment, of listening to the word of God in a new way that could lead our congregation to move in a new and exciting direction. Februrary Bible Studies
Please join us on Wednesdays at 6:30pm or Thursdays at 10am for a time of camaraderie and lively discussion on the word of God. We are studying the Gospel of Matthew. No experience or knowledge needed...just a willing spirit and an inquiring mind!

Sunday Bible Study
Bad Girls of the Bible is a new series to be held the first Sunday of each month after worship. Led by Madelynne Lindsey, this study will consider some of the amazing women in scripture and whether they were really that bad. Join us in the conference room!

Multi-Cultural Worship & International Dinner
Join us on Sunday, February 19th at 10am for a joint worship with our "Lord of Hope Korean" and "Love of Jesus Indian" friends. After service, enjoy an International Pot-Luck Lunch". Please bring a dish to share. You don't want to miss this time of fellowship!

SoulFeast
This enlightening Bible study will meet Monday, February 20th, 7:30pm, at the home of Laura & Jeff Reeves. Please join us for a spiritually uplifting experience with great friends!

Ash Wednesday Service
A community service will be held on Wednesday, February 22nd at First Presbyterian Church in Metuchen. Join us for this special service of repentance and the imposition of ashes.

Lenten Breakfast
Come one, come all to Oak Tree Church on Sunday, February 26th at 9:30am as we break bread together and celebrate communion for the start of Lent.

Food & Clothing Donations Needed
In these tough economic times, the need is greater than ever for food and clothing. We here at Oak Tree collect food in the wooden box in the back of the sanctuary on an ongoing basis. Particularly needed are non-perishable items, such as pasta, peanut butter, canned fish, soups, vegetables and cereal.

We are the major donors for the food pantry at Amandla Crossing Transitional Housing for homeless women and children. We also collect clothing for the FISH Hospitality Clothing Room. This program provides clothing to over 1,600 families in our area. There is a need for any gently used or new clothing, particularly for children and youth. Clothing can be brought to Oak Tree and put in the alcove outside the kitchen

Project Wounded Warrior
Personal hygiene items are desperately needed for our wounded service personnel arriving from the field for medical treatment. These items include: men's underwear & t-shirts (all sizes), women's undergarments & sports bras (all sizes), bath towels, toothbrushes & toothpaste, bars of soap, saniwipes, hand sanitizer, bug spray & hard candy. Please bring your donations to the church and place them in the bin in the narthex. If you have questions, contact Laura Reeves.
